Thoni is the debut single by Gowry Lekshmi, the youngest music director of Mollywood and the composer behind Casanova's Sakhiye.
Thoni is a fusion of indie pop and malayalam folk and portrays the theme of hope.
The song is soulful and is high on freshness quotient with beautiful tunes. Gowri's voice is scorching and breathes a dreamy feel into the song that makes the listener immerse in it completely. For some reason Gowri Lekshmi reminds me of Neha Sasikumar Nair another contemporary singer cum composer in Malayalam film industry.
The video begins strikingly but the effect veins off soon enough. The visuals convey the theme(hope) but is not that top notch and fails to leave any impact.
Having said this the track is definitely loop worthy and the Team Thoni's effort is truly appreciable.
